Balfour Retractors
Balfour Abdominal Retractor is a self-retaining retractor used during surgeries in which large abdominal incisions need to be held open to provide more visibility to the surgeon such as during a cesarean section. This retractor was invented by Donald Church Balfour, a Canadian educator and physician, from the Mayo Clinic. The Balfour Retractor features adjustable side walls, offered in varying lengths, and with varying maximum spreads available. You can choose from configurations with fixed or detached systems. Accordingly, we also have a wide selection of center blades to suit your surgical needs with the Balfour Retractor. Our retractors are made of German stainless steel and carry a lifetime guarantee.
